Speaking, or writing, of BRICKS ... Here you go! Part of MY FAVORITE!
Yeah, here is a "Close-Up" from my favorite piece of Brick Art that can be found over there in Salisbury, North Carolina.
Yeah, this section is "tucked over there" in the lower right-hand side of the mural, which, by the way is quite large, and takes up the whole side of a rather LARGE building! Yeah, you have to get over there to see it, if you've never been ... In fact, it has been a "few years" for me, so yeah, maybe I need to drive back over there and see if I've missed anything new.
Wouldn't hurt ...
But yeah, I came across this image in my little "Folder" thing on my computer, and thought it really "showed off", you know, THE BRICKS! Nice "side lighting" that adds to the "texture" of the painted bricks! Perfect!
And yes, the artist even "signed it", although, yeah, it's a little hard to read ... Just "GOOGLE IT" ... Try "The Transportation Mural", Salisbury, NC, and see what you can come up with!
Wait! I did it for you (I took a picture the last time I was there!): It's called "CROSSROADS: PAST INTO PRESENT".
Fitting.
Try that!
And yes, I told you I needed to get back over there ...

So I did! Yeah ... Like I said, my FAVORITE!
I mean, LOOK AT IT!
I know ...
I went over there on a Thursday, and got back late Friday afternoon ... Yeah, really! I spent the night in a hotel and everything! I got out of the apartment!
True story.
I know! I can't believe it either, but yeah, really! And I actually found the place all on my own, you know, after all these years ... In fact, I knew I was close, so I was just going to pull over and ask this guy walking down the sidewalk - no kidding - and then, I just happened to look out the side window to pull over, and, yeah, I kid you not, I saw my favorite piece of "BRICK ART", like right there, in between the buildings!
BAM!
See, I told you I was CLOSE!
I pulled right in the parking lot, and spent the next hour, or whatever, you know, shooting like a "mad-man"! I had made it back! And yeah, get this, I wasn't sitting on the couch, watching TV, back in my apartment anymore!
Really.
I was in Salisbury, North Carolina, in that Parking Lot, on Fisher Street, right down the street from the corner of South Main Street, and Fisher Street, and there it was! And yes! It's quite a MURAL! Like, the whole side of the building! Oh yeah, you shouldn't have a problem finding it! Just do what I did ... Look out your side windows, you'll see it! And like I said, there is a nice, rather large PARKING LOT, like, right there as well!
Literally. Yeah, it's on your RIGHT! Right there!
Too easy!
Again, Salisbury, NC, then find where South Main Street, and Fisher Street meet, then just look out your side window to your RIGHT ... Look for this BIG PAINTED MURAL THINGY. Period. You'll see it. No worries. You can't miss it. Again, it looks like this:

With, or without the, you know, TRASH CANS! And those boards, or whatever! But then again, yeah, maybe I have seen them before as well, like I said, it's been awhile! A couple of years anyway ... But yeah!
Too easy! And yeah, it gives the mural, you know, SCALE!
Just get over there ...
YOU CAN DO IT!
Just remember ... BRICKS, lots of BRICKS, like the whole side of a big, BRICK building, all PAINTED up, nice and colorful!
Enjoy.
I always do.
Can you imagine the work it took to paint THIS!
Now that is just CRAZY!
And WILD!
But yeah, WONDERFUL!
Love it!
Yeah, you need to get over there! It's that impressive.
