My "First Trip" to ANTARCTICA ...

That's right, as I mentioned a few days ago, during one of my school, and college "Christmas Break" things one year, I took a little trip down to "The End of the Earth" to visit one of the greatest places there is on this Earth, period.

ANTARCTICA.

These images are from that first trip down there back in 2011 ... While I was still teaching. My second trip down there, came later, in 2017, AFTER I retired, but after having watched all those Art Wolfe Photography DVDs the last couple years at the college, I just knew I had to get down there one more time, you know, to experience The Falkland Islands and ... Wait for it (I did)!

SOUTH GEORGIA ISLAND!

Oh yeah, that simple, and that easy of a decision, after watching those DVD programs over, and over, and over again! You know, over those last ten years!

And yes, SOUTH GEORIGA was indeed, the "WILDEST" place I've ever experienced in my life!

In fact, I just checked: The DVD came out in 2007, I made it to Antarctica the first time in 2011, and then yeah, the second time, for all THREE (The Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and Antarctica), in yeah ... Like, 2017.

The year I retired as a teacher, ahh, at SIXTY-TWO, I might add!

But yeah, what a place!

What an experience!

Well worth the wait!

But yeah, that said, I'm just saying ... SOUTH GEORGIA ISLAND, and yes, THE FALKLAND ISLANDS, should be on everyone's LIST of places to experience.

Can't say that enough ... Especially, that one island!

Yeah, SOUTH GEORGIA ISLAND.

BEST PLACE you've never heard of, like, ever! Unless, of course, you have read my BLOG before, or ever took my college photography class, ahh, AFTER, you know, 2011, that is!

Or, yeah, if you have ever been lost in Georgia, you know, South of Atlanta, anyways! But that's another story for another day! Very different location, to be sure!

If you know me, you know that already, but I can't help myself!

But yeah, I came across these images, and just add to add them onto the website one more time! That is what happens when I even mention either of the trips "Down There"!

The "OTHER" "Down There", that is!

Come on!

That's another "reason" I had to get down there the "Second Time"! See, to get on the ship for that first trip that I took to "Cross the Roughest Ocean in the World", yeah, I had to get to the very tip of South America, which is "right there" near Patagonia, which yeah, is another place you just have to experience for yourself!

That is how "The Game" is played ...

But, back to where I

The "Second Time", yeah, for the BIG ONE, I ended up flying down to Montevideo, you know, that city right there in Uruguay, just across the river from Buenos Aires, Argentina, of all places, and yeah, that is where I began my "Second" trip down there!

See how this "GAME" is played?

One trip, leads to another, which leads to another, which ... Well, you know ... And yes! You can also see that I read a lot of Laura Numeroff books in my day! You know!

"If you Give a Mouse a Cookie", or how about "If You Give a Moose a Muffin"?

Oh yeah!

The "STORY" of my life, I guess!

But I digress ...

Funny how things work out! Even I can't quite understand it all ... And yeah! I LIVED IT!

But yeah, that is how LIFE works, right?

Wait, don't answer that one! I don't even want to "know" at this point in my life! I'm retired, and still breathing, and yeah, in my family, that works just fine for me!

But here you go! Just a "few more images," which yeah, is my favorite saying as a photographer!
