TWO WILD, INDIAN, TIGERS ...

I still feel "the chill", that I felt when I saw those eyes looking right back at me!

I was in a car, a LONG, LONG ways away!

These "young cubs" (that's what we were told!) were 'Playing around this tree" while their mother was out hunting! Yeah, these were taken in Ranthambhore National Park, which was the old, "Tiger Hunting" place for the Rich and Famous of the British Empire, you know, back in the day!

They were NOT "cubs" as far as I was concerned, but again, I'm no expert! But I do have EYES! And I see them, ahh, looking right back at me!

Just "playing" near the water ....

Do you see what I didn't see in there? I was told. But yeah, helps explain those BLACK stripes!

A real, live, wild, Indian TIGER.

More "PLAYING" ...

Just a "kid". Or so I was told ... We stayed in the car, a LONG, LONG ways away.

But yeah, that was my time with the tigers!

We spent all day at the "PARK", but yeah, the morning "ride around" was tough, yes, we KNEW they were OUT THERE, but yeah, never really "saw" them ... Except for a rather LARGE (to me), ahh, PAW PRINT in the road!

Period.

Then after lunch, yeah, FINALLY, there they were! These two "young cubs", ahh, PLAYING!

Made my day!

In fact, this was the reason I signed up for THS one trip in the first place!

Yeah, most, or, "a lot" of the "INDIA TOURS" run by NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC (and others!) don't stop here ...

But I wanted to photograph TIGERS!

I got 'em!

A GREAT trip!

Remember, I was a Middle School Special Ed. Teacher! Oh! And a part-time, college Photo (Art!) Instructor!

A wonderful "RETIREMENT", ahh, "adventure", that was for sure!

A month in India, who would of "thunk it"?

Which reminds me ... I went for the TIGERS, but was "overcome" with another stop on the tour! Yeah, the one I found out about watching all those Art Wolfe DVDs back in the day (like the TIGER one)!

Yeah, VARANASI, INDIA.

I'll get right on that.

Just like the "Mouse and the Muffin", you know, those books I read to the Elementary school students, ahh, "just down the street" from the Middle School ... One thing leads to another, and another, and yeah, another!

That was INDIA!

Loved it.
