India. Yeah, pretty sure, can't remember which city, but yeah, take your pick!

New Delhi comes to my mind, but yeah, I'll just leave it at that.

Works for me.

But, if you know me, and my work, yeah, you know what I tend to do, you know, AFTER "getting MY SHOT", yeah, I start "playing", looking for another shot, right then, and there!

PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!

Been doing it for YEARS! And plan on doing it as long as I can still get out there, and hold a camera! Or secure it to a tripod! Any kind of camera, and any kind of place!

Yes, with even a phone, you know, if I have to! Ha! Which, yeah, I hope it will never come down to, as a last result ... No, a real camera works for me, ahh, MOST of the time!

That said, yeah, I do remember shooting this PINK image!

I was shooting with my tripod, as the sun went down, and I kept shooting, and then, like I said, I thought I would see what I could come up with, and yes, the first thing I usually do is ZOOM "in-and-out", you know, just because I can.

Then, yeah, since I always have my front leg of the tripod, ahh, pointing at my subject (so I can get right in behind the camera!), yeah, all I do on the next shot, once I "PUSH THE BUTTON" again, yeah, I wait a second, or two, and then SLOWLY start "tipping the whole tripod back on its two back legs, nice and easy!

Carefully, and slowly, and then not so slowly, you know, depending on how I feel that very moment! I change things up ... Once I see what I have already captured!

Love this DIGITAL stuff!

It lets me PLAY that much more FREELY, and PLAYFULLY, which yeah, is always a GOOD THING!

And you wonder why I can't remember which city I was in when I took this shot! Ha! I shoot the same way in EVERY city, every time, every night! One city after another ...

Like I said, I GET MY SHOT, then I PLAY!

Over and over, and over again ... And again.

There are NO RULES.

Except, if I may be so BOLD, yeah, just ONE RULE!

And that is to have FUN. Period.

That is the key to everything you do in life, yeah, TRY to make it fun, period.

I was just talking about that this morning ... I LOVED teaching middle school Special Ed. kids because I was allowed to let them HAVE FUN. Period.

Sure, there were those MOMENTS, but yeah, overall, yeah, I tried to keep things FUN.

Period.

You know, for a middle school.

Did the "MORNING NEWS SHOW" on TV, every morning, for many years, what a riot! Went to a LOT of dances, went on several 8th grade field trips, played Donkey Basketball, took the track teams, down to The Tater Hole, for a season ending, ahh, PIZZA party every year, you name it!

Whatever worked, and whatever I could "get away with"! Yeah, the support I had at the school was unreal, yeah, the principles I worked with , well, except one, were excellent! That set the tone ... If I needed something, I got it.

Yeah, like I said, I enjoyed it. I got into the teaching "GAME" late, but loved it!

And yes! "PLAYING", played a large part in my career, that is for sure.

Same with my photography! The things I have been able to experience while taking photographs is CRAZY! First off, yeah, I got my first camera while halfway through my FIRST cross-country motorcycle trip, right after high school!

That was fun.

So yeah ... That was THAT!

Which led to more motorcycle trips ... And more FUN!

Florida. Around the Border of the United States,. And then, two years in Japan, with first, a 125cc Special, Honda, ahh, skinny, "TRIALS" bike thing that was road legal over there (FUN!), and then, yeah, the "classic", Honda CB 750, that was all the rage back in the day!

Had that one shipped back to the States!

And then, the two BMW motorcycles that first got me up to Alaska, then that whole 3-month, ahh, "Honeymoon Tour" adventure thingy the very next year (1983) ... Go figure.

And then, yeah, years later, my favorite, "THE MOTORCYCLE", the classic, BMW R80 GSPD (ahh, 800cc), you know, with the TEN GALLON gas tank, and those "Special Military Ammo Cans", that I had mounted on the back racks, and that "Solo Seat", oh yeah!

Down to the Southern tip of Baja, Mexico, and up above the Artic Circle, both in the United States, and Canada, I might add! Oh yeah, I enjoyed some great "MILES" on that bike! Drove it for YEARS!

Best bike I ever owned, no question.

Loved it!

Oh CRAP! There I go again ... Sorry.

But yeah! There I was, in INDIA, with this whole "LIGHT SHOW/MUSIC THING" going on right in front of me, hey, what do you expect?

PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!

Hey! I was told that photography is actually an ART form, so yeah, I became an ARTIST! You need to do the same!

Learn all THE RULES, find out what your camera can do, and then, yeah!

PLAY!

Over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again ...

And again.

One more time.

Yeah. Then once you get YOUR SHOT!

PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!

Then, ahh, REPEAT.

Once you know what to do, find out what happens if you do something else. That simple.

That takes you from TAKING pictures to, ahh, MAKING photographs!

They call that, yeah, ART.

Go figure.

You are an artist.

It worked for me, so yeah, I KNOW it can work for you! You wouldn't be reading this is you weren't ready!

Get out there, and LEARN how to PLAY while, ahh, PUSHING THAT BUTTON!

And yes, I found India to be quite the place to PLAY!

Trust me, "you aren't in Kansas anymore", that is for sure!

You can do this!

Look into taking any classes at your local Community College, or, like I also did, get in touch with The New York Institute of Photography, hey!

You never know!

Worked for me. and yes! I checked, it is still going strong, ahh, on-line! Check into it, but yeah ... I just "asked my phone". See what you can come up with! It will be worth your time, trust me.

It worked for me! It got me my first job over there in Germany.

Everything that you have become, plays a major role on what your ART will become ... Good luck with that!

I loved how it "Enlarged" that one guy, off to the right, in that "WHITE" opening, or doorway, or whatever! Did you notice him?
